Science Week at College
The College participated in the 2023 National Science Week. The theme for this year is ‘Innovation – Powering Future Industries’.
A few of the themed activities and curriculum sessions that occurred this week comprised:
The library featured a collection of books that align with the innovation theme.
Year 1 and 2 students made weighing scale out of everyday materials that will allow them to learn about relative weight.
Year 3 and 6 students made enhance paper airplane construction by utilise a straw as the fuselage, promoting innovative design approaches
Year 7 and 8 students engaged in a balloon rocket project. Their mission is to propel their rockets the farthest distance
Year 9 and 10 students are immersed in a captivating Stile Hydrogen fuel escape room challenge. They had to successfully complete a series of experiments to secure their escape.
It was an immersive and engaging week for all students and teachers. Let’s hope we have helped to inspire some budding future scientists
